Plans for Dec 24-28
We head out on a 5 day hiking trip in Torres del Paine (in Chile) tomorrow morning...
We are doing a well-tread circuit called the "W". The topo maps are shown above - two from the web showing the same area; one shows the route highlited in magenta. So for the next 5 days we will be taking a few boats, some buses, hiking, and camping in the gorgeous mountains of coastal Chile.
Meanwhile, we hope that everyone enjoys their holiday.
Happy vacations and we will give you a play-by-play upon our return to civilization on the 28th. . .

Ohh i can hardly read your blog without pangs of missing SA... i loved the photos and enjoyed the visit to buneos Aries - nice to see Michael there too! Chile is my absolute favorite and i have spent many hours in Santiago - The food is amazing. BTW the bird is a Crested Caracara - hope to see you in MA. Jill G.
