We left El Calafate yesterday and took 2 buses to get to our current location at Comodoro Rivadavia.
*Tonight we hop on another bus to Esquel - back to the southern Lakes District in Argentina. We will spend a day or two there hiking and fishing in the lakes of Nacional Parque Los Alerces.
*We will then cross the border back into Chile and visit the town of Chaiten, where there is apparently great salmon and trout fishing in the rivers.
*Finally, we will take a ferry across to the island of Chiloé. This area is an old agricultural and fishing island first claimed by Spain in 1567. We will work our way north to Puerto Montt where we will take a bus to Santiago by Jan 12th!
*Yikes - too much to do and see and too little time!!!
