We are staying with a great family - Willy and Doris are the parents, Andrés and Gabriela are the kids.
Willy is a doctor and he also sells Peruvian seafood to restaurants. Doris is a child psychologist and she also owns and runs a French women´s underwear shop in town. According to Willy, it´s important to have multiple jobs in case of political and economic instability. Andrés and Gabriela go to a private school in town. Gabriela is 9 years old and she is the tennis star of her school. Andrés is 12 years old and he likes playing tennis and watching cartoons.
Above are a few pictures - the first is from the room we are staying in - cannot avoid football... Two are from the international dance concert that Gabriela and her schoolmates put on. Additionally, on Sunday we went to the lake near the city for lunch, and then to a small town famous for the two presidents who grew up there. We played a game like baseball/kadima, with two mitt-like things and a suction-cup covered ball. Unfortunately, Andrew threw the ball into a palm tree and it vanished from Earth. So we´ve spent the last week walking into every sports and toy shop looking for another suction-cup ball... any ideas?
